Finance
Money follows the same spine as the work
Budgets are allocated down it, commitments and actuals are recorded against it, and forecasts, burn and available funds roll back up, in whatever currency each level runs in. Then the harder question: did the benefit arrive?
- Budget at any level, allocated downward, with direct and inherited views
- Commitments, actuals and forecasts by source
- Per-level currency with recorded exchange rates
- Revisions kept, so the approved figure and the current one are both on record

Budgets and allocations
Each level sees what it was given and what remains
Set a budget at the objective, initiative or project and allocate it downward. Each level sees its direct budget, what it inherited, and what is left. Spend locks once approved, so what the board saw is what the ledger shows.

Commitments, actuals and forecasts
Burn and available funds roll up the spine
Record what is committed, what has been spent and what is forecast, by source. Budget health feeds the same roll-up the PMO reads, so the CFO's question and the CRO's question are answered from one set of records.

- Exchange rates recorded at the time of the entry
- Mitigation spend as a figure on the objective, not an estimate

Benefits, ROI and payback
Realised against expected, after the initiative closes
Declare the benefit an initiative is meant to produce — a cost avoided, a premium reduced, revenue protected — bind it to a live metric and measure it on a cadence. ROI and payback are computed with their caveats shown.
- Typed benefits with review cadence
- Post-closure realisation tracking
- ROI and payback with caveats
- Benefit coverage per objective
